All members must abide by these rules and respect their enforcement across the boards. Offenders will be dealt with promptly by the administrators of the site and will be issued punishment, as seen fitting for their infringement, by said administrators – there will be no argument over their response, the admins’ words are final. (Although if you feel you have been unfairly treated by an admin, or are unsure why you have been warned, do feel free to personal message [PM] the admin who dealt with you for a fuller explanation. Flaming will be ignored however.)
i. Players are asked to remain respectful to all of their peers – both administrators and other members - throughout their time on the boards and to conduct themselves in a mature and proper manner when writing both in character (IC) and out of character (OOC). Racism, sexism, bigotry, homophobic remarks, discrimination, etcetera are to be kept off of the boards and PM system – this site is intended for entertainment and as a place for escaping these problems of the everyday world.
ii. Flaming1 , trolling2 and spamming3 will not be tolerated anywhere on the boards. If you have a problem with the way another user is conducting themselves, do not hesitate to PM and admin and raise your concern – do not try to take matters into your own hands, this is what administrators are for. Please see the footnotes if you are unclear on any of the terms used previously.
iii. Swearing is not banned on this site, however, it is asked that it be kept to a sensible level – having every other word a swear word for the simple sake of including adult language is not permitted and will only serve to show your ignorance and lack of vocabulary.
iv. Advertisements for other sites are only to be posted on the delegated advertisement board and are not to be seen anywhere else. This rule does not cover signatures or on the profile page of your account.
v. Signatures must be kept within the dimensions of 500 pixels in width and 300 pixels in height, any greater than this and the user will be asked to reduce/remove the signature via a PM; if this warning is ignored then the signature will be removed completely by an administrator without further warning.
1. Flaming - hostile and insulting interaction between board users. It is usually not constructive, does not clarify a discussion, and does not persuade others.
2. Trolling – similar to flaming, see above.
3. Spamming - the abuse of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately; the repeated posting of short, pointless messages.
If you come across anyone breaking any of the above rules, please PM an administrator – although we are awesome and spend an inordinate amount of our time on the site, we cannot be everywhere at once and do, on occasion, miss things. Also, if there are any queries, anything that you think has been missed out, a particularly funny joke you heard that you’d like to share, do feel free to PM an admin and we’ll get right on it.
